Winter may have its hold on the seasons right now, but it’s never too early to start planning your summer vacation. Summer is the height of the tourist season for Rocky Mountain national parks, and the crowds tend to pack into Rocky Mountain National Park during this time. But, one way to avoid the congestion and parking problems within the park is to take one of the many shuttle buses that run all summer long. And, better yet, it’s free to use, saving you on gas and frustration.
Use the Bus
The buses will first start running on the weekends, beginning Memorial Day Weekend. The shuttle, however, will start running every day, going from June 13 to September 27. Within the park, you can decide between two routes. Both routes start across from the Glacier Basin Campground.
