Although managing credit card debt is a priority, many families find this really difficult. The May 2010 Federal Reserve's G.19 report on consumer credit showed the median charge card debt was $15,788. The reality is that this figure is far higher because it includes those who don't have a card. The good news is that you can manage credit card debt with a debt relief program because it is an unsecured debt so you don't stand to lose any collateral.
Carefully Managing Credit Card Debt Payments
A financial literacy survey by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling revealed that 26% of Americans (56 million people) admitted to not paying their bills punctually. Although this is partially due to forgetfulness, it was largely because of an inherent lack of affordability. However, it is possible to address this issue through better budgeting, increasing income and/or a debt relief program.
