Petaluma police arrested a Pixar finance manager at his work on Friday for allegedly sending explicit images to a cop posing as a minor.
The man was arrested at his office in Pixar's Emeryville headquarters on Friday at 2pm. Police also seized computers at his office and home. Members of the Northern California High Tech Crimes Task Force will analyze them, police said.
As part of a 3-month sting operation, an undercover police officer from Petaluma posed as a 13-year-old girl on an internet chat site. The man allegedly sent the cop Web camera pictures and video of male genitalia and "individual sex acts." In addition, police claim, the man "inappropriately referenced sexual topics."
The man had chatted with, and sent images to, the "girl" using his office computer at Pixar.
Martin Drew Eshoff, 41, of Novato was charged with sending harmful matter to a minor by Internet. This can either be considered a felony or a misdemeanour, police said. Bail was set at $45,000.
As a member of Pixar's administrative and finance departments, Eshoff received screen credits on films like Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and Cars.
